Safety On Site

Safety is Bradwood Landing’s highest priority. Bradwood Landing’s terminal design meets or exceeds local, state and federal safety standards.

For example, the site’s full-containment design, voluntarily proposed by the company at an incremental cost of $20 million per tank, exceeds federal requirements. Each of the two full containment storage tanks, constructed of nine percent nickel-steel, is surrounded by a reinforced concrete secondary tank wall at least two feet thick and capped with a domed concrete roof. A berm encircles the entire facility to prevent spills from escaping the site.

Bradwood Landing has worked with local, regional and state first responders to enhance the design of the project and to provide resources and an Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

Because safety is our responsibility, resources funded by Bradwood Landing ensure that Clatsop County will not incur any net cost to service the needs of project. In fact, the company has committed more than $160 million to enhance safety and security beyond requirements of State and Federal codes.
